Where did you get all this launch sequence footage to edit in the first place???
WOW ... This is the seedling of something very much in the OMG department.
The flow seems very appropriate for the content ... All looks "SYTEMS GO"
Keep working on it ... PLEASE!
me
All this stuff i was drawing. All after effect are mine, there are some video parts without after effects that i`ve borowed from CCP treilers, but this is because i have limited in game tools for filming. Oh by the way all sound effects are mine too )

i hope you do finish it.... it looks good so far
Well i do finish it, but as i said, the making of this 1 and a half minute took about 2 weeks, and i was editing it for about 6 hours per day. So its just a matter of time.

Originally by: Angel Sinulf It's a nice video, but all you did was splice together a bunch of CCP videos. It's not very original at all.
Well i`ve used only these parts which u cant do by your self, if CCP will ever give me proper tools, i`d love to make the same parts by my self. And there are a lots of mine footage, and also mine editing, i`ve borrowed some design solutions from CCP, because i thought that it would be nice to make a video in a one style that CCP designers created, because, it is their univers, but i draw it by my self, if you just copy them you wont be able to animate them properly.

It's our universe.
They do not want people to emulate their style either. They want people to create their own style and create something which encapsulates your experience. Regardless of how well you have stitched these sequences together, you have missed the point, intention and goal of the competition.
Trust me the best way to impress CCP is not to copy them, but to better them.
AK
Well first of all i didnt stick sequences. Cmon people, you just rewatch their treilers, no scanning pop ups, no after effects at all, (but.. there is one scene where was dept of field, but anyway) on these parts that i`ve used, oh my god, i used only raw frames. and this was very painful job, honestly if i could film my self that i want, that would be easyer than, pull douwn raw frams in png seq, then to compile them in what i want them to be.
PS: I'd also never tell anyone that it takes 6 hours of compositing over a two period either. and why is that, try to make this in 5 minutes and then compile in other comp then render it then go to adobe premier and merge it to sequence, then render again and you`l get a ta da movie for 2 secs

relax - I'm just trying to push you to create something of your own.
As for the image you've linked - that is very easy to do.
1: new shape layer. 2: Add eclipse. 3: Add stroke and dashes. 4: adjust parameters. 5: Keyframe. 6: duplicate/add more. 7: add other shapes. 8: add text. 9: precompose. 10: animate. 11: adjust timing if necessary. 12: render.
Yeah, I reckon it's a five minute job if you know what you want it to look like and ten minutes if you want to experiment.
AK
If you are profi i gues so, but i`m amateur, i`m not designer nor a hollywood director, so i think it is not a shame to make a 90 seconds in 2 weekds especially when rendering of the 20 seconds tooking for about 4 hours or so, then you look and see, oh my gush i forgot to enable motion blur, and again
And a lot of parts were rebuilt many times, and i want to make CCP like pop ups because i like them, but i dont copy them 1/1, in some parts iget a bit lazy, in some parts i adding something mine, thats, how it goes
i really want to make a decent movie

Originally by: Mr Kidd That is fantastic work. Congrats.
It's a real shame, though. CCP wanted to answer our questions. 3mos after the fact that ball is kind of dropped. Now they want to know our real stories. I'm sure they'll drop that ball to. So, my friend with exquisite talents....do yourself a favor and use them elsewhere.
Thanks i`m doing my best

Edited by: Lex Rin on 18/07/2011 18:36:17 Thanks everyone for feedback, i`ll make some changes in audio to make speach audible, also, ill think what can be done whith transition between parts. For now first 20 sec of part 3 are ready, and i`m really looking forward to finish this project as soon as possible. I think tomorrow i`ll make an update with video, and show a bit of a part 3 that will be a battle scene )
Oh, and about PC. my PC is very very good, the rendering time tooking so long because i`m using math expressions for animations, and some of them are not compatible with multithreading, so i`m rendering on 1 core of 8 (

Originally by: Eternum Praetorian Can you tell me what program/programs you used?
I have to make all of my videos on generic video editing software. Damn fine job btw.
Adobe after effects CS 5 Adobe Premier pro Adobe Photodhop CS 5
and THE ALLMIGHTY Fraps
Also some small soft for encoding, splitting, merging, because i dont use adobe bridge, and adobe encoder.

Originally by: Victoria Wolfe Very awesome! I wish the real game explosions would look like the ones in your video The computerized voice would also be a cool feature ("propulsion jamming detected" etc).
I would suggest trying to increase the volume of the voice work near the end of the video. Maybe it's my terrible work computer but the vocals near the end seemed somewhat overshadowed by the other sounds.
Ok i`ll double check on that.
And NOW i have a little dilema, i cant pick the name for the movie, word revenge sounds not good, could anyone share any ideas?

Originally by: Mibad Your VO dialog during the video is pretty much shadowed by all your sound effects/music, it's very difficult to understand what is being said.
0:30-0:55 and 3:10-3:18
2:59 is that your tengu exploding or a ship behind it? I think its a scorpion but its very hard to tell...
Its a scorpion, but this scene was made that way intentionally, to send a messege, "who is blown up" and then in the final tengu flights out, there it is.
About VO, i dont know why, but on some PC its sounds fine, on some its sounds little shadowed, maybe it all about freq. The vidoe is 44.1 KHz and maybe if you have 48 KHz its shadowing sounds, or its oyutube during reencode...

Originally by: inexistin Edited by: inexistin on 25/07/2011 23:22:48 Epic video! Indeed, you managed to make something nice out of the useless eye-candy that is Incarna! Good job!
If I may also suggest one thing I noticed on the youtube link - the protagonist's voice is kinda low, you should up her volume a bit so that it can stand out from the music and the background noise.
Still, it stands out from the crowd. Epic filming, epic editing. Good job!
